We have been buying from Domaine Benoit Chauveau at Saint-Andelain in the heart of the Pouilly-Fumé region for many years. Grown on typical Pouilly-Fumé chalk and flint soil, this wine exhibits the classic mix of citric Sauvignon Blanc flavours with overtones of minerals and gunflint.
Like several other estates whose wines we sell, the Domaine Chauveau is a member of the Terra Vitis group of winemakers whose winemaking methods are best described as "almost organic". They employ a proactive environmentally friendly approach and only use intervention if absolutely necessary. All Terra Vitis certified wine estates are granted HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) Level 3 certification by the French government.
